Flintlamp ERP · Print costs

What a print really costs, and what the order earns.

A price without the cost behind it is a guess. Flintlamp ERP counts the filament, the printer time, the electricity, the hands-on minutes and the failed prints, so your profit is real, not hoped for.

The problem

A failed print, a reprint and an hour of finishing can turn a promising order into a loss. See those costs before you decide what to charge.

What Flintlamp ERP does

Filament cost, gram by gram.Available now

A finished print is recorded with its spool and the grams it used, at that spool's own price per gram. Two spools of the same colour can cost differently, and the item shows the one you used.

Printer time, electricity and upkeep.Available now

Each print includes the cost of printer time, electricity and upkeep, using the rates you set.

Hands-on minutes.Available now

Setup, removing supports, finishing: the minutes you type replace the estimate, and the cost moves with them.

Failed prints, counted.Available now

Record each failed print with its date and cost, so production losses stay visible.

Profit per order, with the calculation behind it.Available now

See sales before tax, costs and profit together. Open your sales and profit totals to see the records behind them.

Costs marked "estimated" when a price is missing.Available now

A missing spool price is clearly marked in the cost calculation, so you know which price still needs adding.

Illustrative example. Amounts in USD

  • Does it need a slicer file?

No. Costs come from what you record: the spool and grams of a finished print, the printer hours, the minutes you worked. Bambu Lab printers report the grams per colour themselves.

  • What about a print that failed?

Record it as a failed print, with the filament and time it used. Its cost stays visible in your production losses.

  • Can I see where a number comes from?

Yes. Open your sales, profit or money received totals in Finances to see the records behind them.
